Marni Sclaroff is a celebrated Yoga teacher with over twenty years of experience in the healing arts. She leads workshops, retreats, mentoring programs, and teacher trainings throughout the US and abroad. She is also a writer and speaker on the transformative power of living Yoga and the healing work of anchoring the heart in the soul.
She came to Yoga after searching for a way to heal from her many years of suffering from depression and disordered eating. After attending her first Yoga class in 1996, she knew that she had come home. (more…)
Becky Eschenroeder— a 500 hour RYT, 200 hour E-RYT, RCYT —is an accomplished Yogi who was voted as one of the top three yoga instructors by Richmond Magazine in 2015
Becky received her 200 hour RYT under Arlene Bjork and Grace Yoga Training Systems in late 2009. Becky then obtained her 500 hour RYT through Om On Yoga under the guidance and wisdom of Jennifer Elliott. Becky made the conscious decision to dedicate her life to bringing her love of yoga, movement, and learning to all walks of life. Her ability to meaningfully connect with those she serves so selflessly arises out of her personal commitment and disciplined approach to deepening her own learning and practice of yoga, philosophy, and meditation. John L. Thurman, E-RYT 200, is a Washington, DC based yoga instructor who teaches vinyasa flow power yoga classes. He teaches in a style that focuses on providing a challenging and fun environment for all levels. He has been personally practicing yoga since 2001, and his training includes exposure to Rocket, Iyengar, restorative, and vinyasa style asanas, as well as pranayama and mediation. His physical background includes football, triathlons, weight lifting, high-intensity training, and running. John completed Mimi Rieger’s 200-hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Washington, DC, as well as a 50-hour Rocket Yoga training at Asta Yoga Studio, San Francisco, CA.
Jonathan Miles, E-RYT 200, is a passionate yogi, and inspirational instructor. Combining over 15 years’ experience practicing kung fu, capoeira and studying the path of Yoga, Jonathan (Yogi J) Miles has been teaching yoga, and leading workshops and trainings since 2003, is the lead ERYT for the Om On Yoga teacher training program, and staffs the 300 hour advanced TT. In 2010 Jonathan co-founded Project Yoga Richmond (PYR), whose mission is to help spread the joy and benefits of yoga to those with the least access, and to create a stronger, unified yoga community. “I believe that life can be lived playfully and skillfully, with joy and passion.”
Kelley Carboni-Woods is a mother, wife, business owner and wellness advocate. She decided to become a yoga teacher to make sure more people of color were introduced to the living practice of yoga. Her own practice has aided her in navigating marriage, the births of her two sons and most recently the death of a close family member. She is committed to making the healing power of this living practice accessible to all. Her style of teaching is focused on exposing each student to the aspects of yoga that go beyond the physical postures. Besides her weekly community class offerings, Kelley offers monthly workshops, private and corporate yoga sessions and seasonal retreats. (more…)
